KDLH of Duluth recently reported on Officer Thomas Rossberger of the La Pointe police department on Madeline Island who modified his own bike to start the first bike patrol on Madeline Island.
Police Cheif William Defoe said that having a bike patrol officer has allowed his department to have many more positive interactions with the community that they serve along with reducing energy costs.
