Eat, Skate, Stay & Play – June 2023

This year, 2023, celebrate the arrival of Summer and the end of the coronavirus pandemic on Madeline Island at our “Eat, Skate, Stay and Play” event. This 3-day island event starts with the 30th annual Chequamegon Chefs’ Exhibition. Our Island Chefs’ Exhibition features approximately 20 invited chefs from around the region, demonstrating their craft in three categories: appetizers, entrees, and desserts. This is followed by the Ashland County Museum Weekend featuring special events at the Madeline Island Museum, and the 11th Annual Apostle Islands Inline Skate Marathon that draws top level skaters from all over the country.

There is no better place to celebrate the arrival of summer 2023 than on Madeline Island! Our Eat, Skate, Stay and Play event has a little something for everyone. Be here June 2023 !

 

Chequamegon Chefs’ Exhibition– June 15th 2023 – Chequamegon Chefs’ Exhibition, 30th Annual, 6-8 p.m. – in the Bell St. Tavern. Cash bar at 5:00pm with live entertainment.  One ticket entitles you to round trip ferry ride, sample each entry, along with a cash bar for wine and beer, and musical entertainment!

JUNE 17, 2023 – The 11th Annual Apostle Islands Inline Skate Marathon

If gliding along smooth pavement through scenic woodlands offering breathtaking views of Lake Superior sounds like your idea of skating heaven, the Apostle Islands Inline skate marathon is the perfect event for you.

This unique inline race has something for every skating enthusiast and skill level, including a full marathon, a little more than a half marathon and fun race. The 8.7 mile looped course features a combination of flats, curves, straightaways and two hairpin turns on Lake Superior island of Madeline island. This is an exciting event for both spectators and participants.
